What a pleasure it
was having someone like Martin do our flooring. We had our living room
and front room along with a hallway done. Being somewhat afraid of
having Martin work with our VERY old SQUEAKING, exisiting flooring, we
decided to do a complete rip up and have Martin install all new
hardwood oak floors. What excited us the most was that he told us that
by doing this all our squeaks would dissapear. He gave us a timeframe of
how long the job would take to complete and TRUE to his word he finished
on time. All we can say is "WOW" Our floors are so Beautiful we are
almost afraid to walk on them. We would without a doubt highly recommend
Martin to anyone who needs or even talks about hardwood flooring. He is
a true professional who is able to guide you with honest answers and is
helpful when making decisions. What a GREAT man to do business

We can't say enough about our beautiful re-finished hardwood floors.
They are absolutely flawless. The wonderful job Martin did, along with
the outstanding time he completed them in was a bonus. Martin
even finished them before schedule. The maple flooring portion of our
hardwood that needed to be replaced by the kitchen to match with the
oak flooring in the rest of the first floor was outstanding and matched
perfectly and you'd never be able to tell. The upstairs maple
flooring we are extremely satisfied with as well. The maple flooring
is also beautiful and turned out flawless. We'd highly recommend
Martin's Hardwood Flooring to anyone. He's also extremely fair on
pricing and the job itself proves he's who you should have re-finish
your floors. We've had many family holiday dinners since having our

We had a small house fire that damaged our wooden floors and
Martin was recommended to us by a trusted contractor who has also done
work in our home. Martin was able to give us an estimate, both to cost
and time for the repair during his initial visit as well as inform us
of his schedule so that we could coordinate our dates. We were so
impressed by Martins professionalism that we also asked him to give us
a price to remove the carpeting off our stairs and restore the wood
steps. All the work was completed on time and Martin arrived promptly
on the day we had agreed the job would begin, not always the case with
contractors I have found.
The dust was kept to a minimum and Martin
worked efficiently throughout the time he was at our house. I am very
happy with the final results of our stairs and floor repair as well as
the price we were charged.
I have recommended Martin to my friends and
as an interior decorator am confident to also recommend Martin to any
of my customers who may need his expertise for either new installation
or renovations of existing hardwood floors.

During the spring of 2009 Martin Hemer of Martin’s Hardwood Flooring, Inc. repaired water damage and refinished all of the maple floors in my condominium on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Mr. Hemer’s work was of exceptional quality. I showed the work to several neighbors and all were impressed by the quality of the workmanship. In addition, Mr. Hemer was thoroughly professional in all of his interactions. He arrived at precisely the appointed time for all work and estimates. He completed the work on schedule. While I was very happy with Mr. Hemer’s work and professionalism, I was especially pleased with his prices. His bid was the lowest of three that I sought, but his work was clearly superior to that of a higher bidder whomd I had used previously.
